The rather ace Valerie D’Orazio of comics site Occasional Superheroine asked me a couple of weeks ago if I’d be interested in doing a weekly column for her site. Always happy to have a new venue to assault the masses with my particular brand of cretinizing, I naturally said yes.

Comics Are Expensive is a round-up/review every Friday of some of the comics I picked up the previous Wednesday. I’m trying to institute some sort of budget on the vast multitude of things I spend money on, and comics are sort of a test balloon to see if I can manage it. The opportunity to do this here comic thing comes at a great time, as it provides an excuse to look at books I read critically to see if I should keep spending money on them. I’m really looking forward to seeing where it goes. Huge thanks to Val again for letting me do this.
